We’re excited to offer our residents with special needs additional assistance during an emergency or disaster scenario.

 

Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (PSAID) The Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities is a no cost, voluntary service open to any individual with a disability who resides, works, or attends school in Middlesex County. The purpose of the database is to help law enforcement and first responders better assist residents with a disability in an emergency situation or during a police encounter. The program provides crucial information regarding an enrollee’s disability, i.e., physical or mental impairment, emergency contact information, physical description, and current photograph.

NJ REGISTER READY: NEW JERSEY’S SPECIAL NEEDS REGISTRY FOR DISASTERS- This is a free, secure, voluntary database designed to help emergency managers and first responders plan for and support people with disabilities and access and functional needs (DAFN) who may need assistance in the event of a disaster. You (or someone on your behalf) are encouraged to register if you have a physical, developmental, cognitive or behavioral impairment, language barrier, or transportation challenges that may make it difficult for you to safely shelter in place or evacuate in a disaster.
